How Lovely to be a Woman

Hello dears,

As we grow from girlhood into our teenage years and adolescence, we must grow in grace and virtue, but also in our femininity.  Femininity is the wonderful quality of being feminine; having qualities traditionally ascribed to women, as sensitivity or gentleness.  But in this day and age, so many people do not appreciate true femininity.  Women strive to make themselves more like men because they do not understand the importance or even the true meaning of femininity.

"Femininity is a gift given to us by GOD.
It is our inheritance and our birthright on a soul level.
It is the essence of all that makes us beautiful and distinct women of value.
It is what enables us to shine with inspiration in the domestic sphere, and in everything we do.
It is our interest in all things gentle and womanly.
It is what allows us to leave the “rough stuff” to the men - which they need in order to display and to satiate their dominant male mentalities and physicalities.
It is what allows us to be true to ourselves as traditional, domestically-minded women.
It is the sweetness, the sympathetic understanding, the self-forgetfulness, the devotion to others.
It is the quality that wins the most masculine and protective of men over to us.
Being truly and deeply feminine women is our highest calling. For the more feminine we are, the more we are being obedient to GOD's Will and Design for women, and the more we can appreciate and perfect the masculine nature of men.
By embracing and exercising our gift of femininity - whilst responding to our men in a way that calls to the best of their masculinity - we are glorifying GOD and making the world a better place! 😊👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨
"You and I, if we are women, have the gift of femininity. Very often it is obscured, just as the image of God is obscured in all of us.
The more womanly we are, the more manly men will be, and the more God is glorified. As I say to you women, "Be women. Be only women. Be real women in obedience to God." ~ Elizabeth Elliot."  ~True Catholic Femininity

What are some ways you express your femininity?

Baking and cooking for your family and friends is a great way to show hospitality.

Sewing, knitting, or crocheting gives you useful skills for homemaking and is a fun way to occupy your hands.

Taking care of children or babysitting helps you gain experience for your future lil' pumpkins and can be quite an adventure.

Do you take pleasure in arranging flowers in vases and making beautiful centerpieces?

Do you like to fill the house with music and song on the piano, violin, or other instruments?

Do you enjoy dressing up?  Putting together a new outfit or jewelry combination may change the way you look at your closet.

Sitting down with a cup of tea and reading a good book is always nice.  There are lots of great titles that can encourage and delight your soul.

Do you enjoy creating beauty and art?  It's fun to get messy with a little bit of paint on your face or charcoal on your hand.

Put those organizational skills to work and practice homemaking in your room, at your desk, or even in the kitchen.  Everyone likes to see things neat and tidy. 😊

Get outside and let the breeze through your hair and heart.  Tending the garden or taking care of animals can be a girl's job too.  Outdoor chores teach valuable skills and let you enjoy God's beautiful world of nature.

All of these and other things can encourage and cultivate the virtue of femininity in us as we grow.  God has made us very special as women.  We have many gifts and talents that men don't have.  Thank God every day for the gifts He has given you.  Then, take care of these gifts or talents and help them flourish in your soul.

"Authentic femininity is a combination of class, tenderness, and virtue. When a woman possesses these traits, a man will naturally want to be more of a gentleman around her." -Jason Evert

"As a single woman, seek Our Lord with your whole heart, putting Him above all. Don't worry about impressing the guys. Instead, impress Him who knows your needs and will satisfy your heart. Along this path, you will catch the attention of those with the same priorities...." ~Finer Femininity

I pray you all have a blessed day!! God love you! 💗

  1. YES! THIS POST!! It seems like the world forgets that women have their own, unique abilities to offer, and instead yells, "Everybody should be alike. Man and woman can be interchanged!" But no. We were created women by God, just as men were created men by God.

Amazing post! I love this so much!
