Modest doesn't have to be hottest.

"Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I implore that I may ever love Thee more and more."

Dear sisters,

Praised be Jesus Christ!  I pray all is well with you.  I apologize for our absence this last month here on M4M.  The end of the school year has kept us all very busy but we are excited to bring you more fun and inspiring content.  It's hard to believe that it is already June, the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is on June 28th so I will post more on this devotion then.  But I wanted to remind you that this entire month is dedicated to the Sacred Heart.  It is the heart that has loved us so much more than any human heart can.  It has loved us unto death on a cross.  Jesus loves you infinitely!!  Isn't that a beautiful thought?!  Even if it seems no one in the world loves you, Jesus's love for you goes on and on and never stops!!  But we must be careful, too.  Because He loves us so, we make His heart sad when we sin.  Let us pray that during this month of the Sacred Heart, we may avoid sin and do good so as to make His heart very happy.

Now that it's June, that also means Summer is upon us!!  (Well, maybe not officially until June 21st, but it sure feels like summer where I live! :P )  As the temperature starts climbing, we want to start dressing to keep cool.  But, as I know and have heard from a lot of young ladies, it can be very hard to dress modestly in the hot summer months!  So what is a girl to do??  Well, here are some cool and cute outfit ideas to help you stay modest and not be the hottest. 😉

The Jumper Dress

1. The Pink Desert (out of stock)
2. The Stockplace (out of stock)
3. Inherit Clothing (In stock!)

I don't have one myself, but these dresses look super cute!!  They seem breathable, pretty, and very summer-y.

T-shirt Skirt

1. The Main Street Exchange (In stock!)
2. Pinterest
3. Inherit Clothing (3 different colors in stock!)

I guess you could call this kind of skirt a t-shirt skirt.  It's super casual, stretchy, and typically has an elastic waistband and tie.  These skirts are great paired with sneakers and a t-shirt for active days.

 Woven Skirt

1. Pinterest
3. The Pink Desert (out of stock)

(I guess that's what these are called?)  Woven skirts are fun, free flowing, and very feminine.  You can dress them up or down pairing them with sneakers, sandals, flats or heels.  Oftentimes pleated and patterned, these skirts add a fun yet breathable piece to your wardrobe.

Chambray

1. Madewell (In stock!)
2. ModCloth (In stock!)
3. Called to Surf (In stock!)

Chambray looks like denim but it certainly is not as heavy.  It's light, fun, and casual, but not too casual.  There are chambray tops, skirts, and dresses so look around!  These are common thrift store finds I think too.

Final tips:

Keep it simple.  Wear light colors.  Choose breathable fabrics and looser styles.  Shorter length does not mean cooler; maxi skirts and dresses can be light and cool too!

I hope you found these ideas helpful!  What are some of your favorite things to wear during the summer?

In corde Christi,

Sarah
