like a daughter of the Most High

like a precious jewel

she thinks

that she isn't good enough

that she isn't kind enough

that she isn't strong enough

that she isn't faithful enough

that she isn't loved

He is

the One who gave His life up for her

the One who stooped to the level of human weakness and died a humiliating death

the One who washed the feet of mere mortals

the One who saved her

the One who loves her

she is 

good enough

kind enough

strong enough

faithful enough

she is loved

and here's a thought for you 

someone may act like they're loved

but how do you know that they know that?

how do you know that they don't doubt that they are loved?

how do you know that your kind word won't mean the world to them?

that you can convince them that they are good

and kind

and strong

and faithful 

and loved?

So often I feel like people look at how others act on the outside, and if they act like they know that they are loved, then others take that for granted. But that person may not know that. I went through a period when I did doubt a lot of stuff. I didn't doubt that God was there, but I felt that I was so ugly, broken, twisted, tarnished, and sinful that how could He possibly love me?

A human being with so many flaws that it is impossible to love me

But He does love me

And I had to go through a very soul-searching experience to truly realize that. And sometimes we do have to go through difficult things to come on fire for Him. 

So this is what I wanted to tell you today

That you are loved

You are loved by God

You are loved by the Creator of the universe

You are loved by the One who made the atoms dance

You are loved by the One who died for us

You are loved by the One who will never stop loving you
