Hey hey hey everyone! hope y'all are doing fantastic! So, today, I'm gonna be posting about a song...I'm not really like "reviewing" it or anything, just kinda relating to it, haha? xP okay, just bear with me, dear readers, I'm going to be posting about a Luke Bryan song, and how relatable it is. :P It's called: "Most People Are Good." I'll just be posting lyric after lyric and relating to it. ;) If you haven't heard it, please go listen to it, it's amazing!!! Okey dokeys, here we go!
"I believe kids oughta stay kids as long as they can.
Turn off the screen, go climb a tree, get dirt on their hands."
~Seriously though, most teens(not even just teens, people in general) these days are addicted to their phones and/or electronic devices. You're missing out on a whole lot of life. Put up the screen, and yeah, go climb a tree! Or read a book, paint, draw, sketch, go swimming, go work out, or start up a new hobby! Go learn how to crochet, or learn how to sew, or how to play the guitar! Seriously, just get the idea in your head, and you should be able to make your mind up about it that you need to get out and do something aside from looking at that screen.
"I believe we gotta forgive and make amends,
'Cause nobody gets a second chance to make new old friends."
~Don't hold a grudge. It's not worth it. Your best friend is your best friend for a reason. Forgive and forget. <33 Not only with friends, but with everyone: parents, siblings, strangers. Grudges are not worth it, trust me. Accept things as they are, and make your best attempt to forgive and make amends. Especially with your parents. Those of us who are teens go through not getting along well with our parents. But, please, do not hold a grudge against them. It's really, really not worth it.
"I believe in working hard for what you've got,
Even if it don't add up to a heck of a lot."
~Work harder, and never stop trying. Never stop believing. Just: keep moving forward. You got this!!!
"I believe most people are good,
And most mama's oughta qualify for sainthood."
~What a great attitude to have towards mankind: "I believe most people are good"! Everybody has their faults. Yourself included. So don't be so quick to judge. Instead of looking at that person next to you at the store and thinking bad stuff about them, either don't think about them at all, or think something nice. Same goes with talking to strangers(well, not just strangers. Everyone.). Not everyone is bad. And, seriously, how our mom's do what they do, did what they did, is awe-inspiring! Our parents are pretty dang amazing. <333
"I believe most Friday nights look better under neon or stadium lights.
I believe you love who you love, ain't nothing you should ever be ashamed of."
~The way I'm honestly looking at this line, is more of siblings who don't get along with each other/their parents. You love them, don't be ashamed of that. But same goes with others as well. ;)
"I believe this world ain't half as bad as it looks.
I believe most people are good."
~You know all that stuff you hear--fake news, the majority of the time--all that stuff that you hear about 'how bad the world is'? well, news flash: it has been since the beginning! But, seriously though, it's not as bad as people make it sound. Believe it or not, the world God gave us is actually pretty amazing. And yes, there are bad things out there. There always have been. Most of it is temptation. It's a test. As Saint Ambrose told us: "The devil tempts that he may ruin and destroy; God tests that He may crown." That temptation has been there since the beginning. But that doesn't make the world a completely bad place. It's not all that bad, really. God did make us a pretty awesome world. And, once again, "I believe most people are good." The perfect attitude of a Christian, imo. :)
"I believe them streets of gold are worth the work,
But I still wanna go even if they were paved in dirt.
I believe that youth is spent well on the young,
'Cause wisdom in your teens would be a lot less fun."
~Yeah, we're teens. Teens make mistakes. And you know
what? We learn from them. The teenage years are kinda what make us,
....us, haha. Those years help sculpt us. They help us to realize
what's wrong and what we did wrongly, and help us to mend those
mistakes; learn from them. Teenage years would not be the same without
making a few mistakes here and there. Don't feel too badly when you
do. We all do. It's learning from those mistakes, and mending them
that's the important thing. ;)
"I believe if you just go by the nightly news,
Your faith in all mankind would be the first thing you lose."
~Again, so much fake news out there. I would not base my
opinions on them, if I were you. As he says, "your faith in all mankind"
is gonna be the first thing you're gonna lose if you do. Hold out for
the hope that people are better than what news broadcasters say, and
believe most people are good. :3
"I believe that days go slow, and years go fast.
And every breath's a gift, the first one to the last."
~Seriously, days feel forever. And then the next day, it's like:
"wait, it's August??? I thought it was still May!". xP Seriously
though, time's going by faster than you think. And yes, every breath is
a gift. You should be thanking God everyday for the life He's given
you. When you stop and actually think about it, your life is pretty
dang amazing. <333
Okay, that's all for now, I guess. Just, go listen to that song, and
please enjoy it. I love so many Luke Bryan songs, so it's weird to me
when others don't, lol. xP Let me know what you thought of the post in
the comments below! See y'all around!
Happy Friday, y'all! <333

Awesome post, Emi!! When I saw the title, I knew who was posting! xP Thank for introducing me to that song, btw. And I love everything you said up there...some of it I really needed to hear! Thanks, girl!! <3333
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Zelie!! Haha, didn't fool you, did I? ;) Oh, no problem. You can always count on me for finding new songs that others "have to hear". xPP Thank you so much, girlie!! Hopefully the post didn't bore you too much. ;P Thanks for reading & commenting!! <3333333
DeleteSounds like a great song! I’m not a big country music person - I got burnt out on it a while back - but I might just have to check out this song! Great analysis!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love most of the song and the message behind it, I don't listen to this song much because of the line "I believe you love who you love, ain't nothing that you should be ashamed of". When I first heard it, it smacked of justifying same-sex relationships to me. Maybe that wasn't the real intent, but I could still see that happening.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, a wonderful post Emily! I loved all the analysis that you put in :)
